Kamal Haasan

was born 7th November 1954. In 1960 he starred as a child artist in "Kalathoor Kannammaa", his first movie. Ever Since, he has starred in more than 150 movies, in almost all the major Indian languages -

RAJANIKANTH BIOGRAPHY

Rajanikanth is a rags to riches story. His histrionics onscreen have raised his status to that of a cult hero. His presence creates an excitement close to hysteria among his fans.

BASICS ON RAJANIKANTH

Rajanikanth was born on 12th December 1950 as Shivaji Rao Gaekwad to a Maratha family in Bangalore, karnataka. His roots are in nachikuppam, Krishnagiri District, Tamil Naidu. His father is Ramojirao Gaekwad, a police constable and his mother is Jijabai, who passed away when he was eight years old.


Rajanikanth studied at the Acharya Paathshala and Vivekananda Balaka Sangha in Bangalore. He worked as a bus conductor for the Bangalore Transport Service to earn a living. His love for acting was evident even then as he used to participate in stage plays and practice stunts atthe Rama Hanuman Temple. In 1973, he joined the Madras Film Institute with a colleague to study acting and was mentored by A.Prabhakarn, his vice Principal.


He married actor Y.G.Mahendran's wife Latha Parthasarthy in 1981 in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. She runs a school called The Ashram. They have two daughters Aishwarya and Soundarya. While Aishwarya is married to actor Dhanush, Soundarya is a director, producer and graphic designer.

Rajanikanth was honoured with the padma Bhushan in 2000 for his contribution to cinema.

Rajanikath - Politics, Social Service & Trouble

In 1995 Rajanikanth spoke to Prime Minister Narasimha Rao and confirmed that he'd support the Congress Party. But when the Congress Party joined hands with AIADMK, he withdrew support and joined the DMK-TMC alliance. He later shifted loyalties and joined the BJP-AIADMK alliance. Though his fans look forward to see more of him in Politics Rajanikanth is reluctant. His fans even started a political party in his name but he confirmed he has no hand in it.


He marked his protest against Karnataka's decision not to release water to tamil Nadu by fasting in 2002. His remarks regarding this issue angered the prokarnataka group Rajshan Vedike which threatened that his movies would not be screened in Karnataka after which he issued an apology.


Rajanikath has shown his generous side often. He used one of his banquet halls the Raghavendra Marriage Hall to help the needy. He plans to start a hospital and a school. He has made several donations - twelve lakh rupees to the family members of the victims of the Coimbatore bomb blasts, one crore rupees was handed to Chief Minister Jayalalitha for the Tsunami Relief Fund in 2004 and ten lakhs rupees to the Sri Lankan Tamil humanitarian aid in 2008.

Nandamuri Balakrishna, the heir to Legendary actor NTR, is the hero of the masses. He needs no ontroduction to the Telugu audience. Balakrishna, dearly called by his fans as Balayya, stayed away from publicity and never areally cared for the media. Though he entered the field because of his father, it's his hardwork and dedication that got him a top slot in the industry.


Balakrishna entered film industry at a very young of 14. Tatammakala starring NTR and Bhanumathi is his first film. He acted in many films with his father, legendary actor NTR. He acted as NTR's brother in Annadammula Anubandham and Rowdy Ramudu Konte Krishnudu. He also played son to his real life brother hari Krishna in the movie Dana Veera Soora Karna, directed and prodiced by NTR. Balayya played the role of Abhimanya in Dana Veera Soora Karna. Also he acted with his father in one the greatest movies, Sri Madvirat Potuluri Veerabrahmendraswamy charitra, as his disciple. Other films that he worked with his fater inclufe Raam Rahim, Vemulavada Bhimakavi, Akbar Salim Anarkali, Sri Tirupati Venkateswara Kalyanam, Anuraga Devatha.


Balakrishna married Vasundhara Devi in 1982. The couple is blessed with three children - brahmini, Tejaswini and Mokshangna Tarakarama Teja it was in 1984, he did his first movie as solo hero. Mangamma gari manavadu, kathanayakudu to start with. Form there on he went to become hte hero of the masses. Sitarama Kalyanam, Desodharakudu, Apoorva sahodarulu, Ramudu Bhimudu, Rakthabhishekam, Muddula Mavayya and many more steered his career successfully in to the 90's.


Undeniably, Balakrishna is the best suitable hero to do films with village backdrop. Village costumes, in full white, fits no one as good as it does for Balayya. Following NTR, it's only Balakrishna who could do justice to the mythological films. Bhairawa Dweepam and Sri Krishnarjuna Yudham - both directed by Singitham Srinivasarao fall in the same category. Only science fiction film in Telugu - Aditya 369 - is done by none other than Balayya. Also Balakrishna gets the unique distinction of hero ever to have two releases on one day. They are Nippuravva and Bangaru Bullodu.


His films Samarasimhareddy, Narasimhanaidu released in 1999 and 2001 resp ectively created history, proving the stamina of Telugu film industry's box office stamina. Why else was he called Box office Bonanza?

In one of his interviews to a magzine, he mentioned about his dream projects to be Ganna Reddy and Chengiz Khan. He wanted to direct these movies too under his home production of Ramakrishna studios.

Meena Durairaj ( Tamil) is one of the most successful actresses in South Indian cinema. Meena was born on September 16, 1977, in Chennai, she became heroine at a very young age of 13 while doing her 8th grade. She established hereself in some matured roles and that making her a very successful heroine.

Meena started her career as a child as a child artist in the film Nenjangalin 1982 when she was 5 years old featuring Dr Sivaji Ganesan in the lead role. Ravali, the south Indian beauty seems to have wished to become an actress ever since the times she could remember. She started out her career with screen name as Sailaja, then changed to Apsara then again to present name Ravali - hoping that this neme would bring luck. It did indeed - by giving her a streak of hit films in Telugu : Ore Rickshaw (1995), Pelli Sandadi (1997), Subhakansshalu (1998) and "Vinodam". Despite the hits, she could not ger amny Telugu films - and but she got busy doing films in Tamil, Kannada and Hindi. It was Mithun Chakraborty who introduced Ravali to Hindi film Through "Mard". In Kannada she has paire with Shiv Rajkumar in the movie "Gadabida Krishna", with "Jaggesh" in "Veeranna" and "Kubera" and with Suman in "Billa-Ranga". In Tamil she did films with Sathyaraj, Arjun and "Vijayakanth". ACTOR KAMALINEE

Kmalinee Mukherjee (born March 4, 2980) is an Indian film actress. She has appeared in telugu films as well as Tamil and Hindi language movies. After graduating with a degree in English literature, she completed a workshop on theatre in Mumbai because of her strong background in it. She made her acting debut in Phir milenge (2004), a film that was based on the subject of AIDS. Though it went unnoticed, she gained recognition in the multiple-award winner, Anand (2004).

Mukherjee was born and brought up in Kolkata. While her father is a businessman, her mother is a grament designer. She is the eldest of the two siblings in the family. Owing to her "love for being on the stage "Since childhood, she acted in all sorts of amateur and professional stageplays while in School and College. Incidentally, she always protrayed masculine characters in these plays. Besides theater, she developed a love for reading spiritual works, painting and writing poetry. Just before she began her acting carrer in 2004, she had written three poems, each of these titled as thoughts, Confusion and Solitude for poetry.Com, a poetry-based website. One of these poems was selected for an international Poetry Contest, where along with one of the 150 people all over the world, she was invited to washington, D.C. for a seminar that wa presided over by Dalai Lama. Besides writing poerty, she also underwent several years of training in Bharatanatyam, an Indian classical dance form.

After graduating with a degree in English literature from Loreto College in Kolkata, she took up a management course in New Delhi, but left it midway. After noticing Mukherjee in one of the advertisements that featured her, actor-director Revathi offered her a role in her second directorial venture, Phir Milenge that revolved around the subject of AIDS. Though initially apprehensive about her entering into the acting profession, her parents were very supportive. In the film, she plays a radio jockey and the younger sibling to Shilpa Shetty in the film. Despite the fact that hers was not a lead character, she had ample role to play in the film. Although the film met with critical acclaim, her role went telatively unnoticed.
Around the time Phir Milenge happened to Mukherjee in Bollywood, Sekhar Kammula, a relatively new director from the Telugu film industry was in the process of casting for his next Telugu film, Anand. After coming to know about her, kammula selected her after a screen test. She said that the role of an independent and modern woman, which was just like her own personality, appealed to her. When asked about her thoughts on a total change of working environment from Bollywood to Tollywood, she said that the only difference was with the language and that she was more comfortable working for Anand because the entire crew belonged to same age group. With her being a Bengali and not knowing the Telugu, well-known singer and television host, Sunitha lent her voice for the film. After completion of filming, she felt tgat as a relative newcomer she couldn't have asked for more, but thought that she could have performed better. Despite her thoughts, the film won 6 prestigious 2004 nandi Award for the Best Leading Actress. Upon receiving the award, she said " it is beyond the belief". Besides this, she won a couple of awards for being the best debutant actress of the year.
